Evacuation planning tailored to your facility

Keep occupants safe and prepared in an emergency.

The diagrams will be orientated to suit your location including:

Emergency information as documented in the Emergency Management Plan
Site Evacuation drawing detailing the site layout, Evacuation Assembly Area/s and egress paths
A pictorial representation of the floor or area detailing the building layout including a ‘YOU ARE HERE’ location and the following elements where appropriate

What's Included

Warden Intercom Points
Manual Call Points
Fire blankets
Hose reels
Fire extinguishers
Fire Indicator Panels
Alarm Actuation Devices
Occupant (EWS/EWIS) Warning System Panels
A legend reflecting the symbols used
Validity period of up to 5 years

Optional elements

Hydrants
Fire and Smoke doors
First Aid; Kits, AED’s, EpiPen’s etc

What we need before getting started

Please note the following details will be requested to support the development of your Evacuation Diagrams by EDS Planning & Services. Providing this information ensures that your evacuation diagrams are accurate, compliant with AS 3745–2010, and tailored to your facility, helping keep occupants safe and prepared in an emergency:

Up-to-date Floor Plans

Provide current CAD or PDF floor plans of all levels, including rooms, corridors, stairwells, and exits.
If plans are not available, EDS may need to conduct a site survey.

Facility Details

Building name and address.
Number of floors/levels.
Primary use of each area (office, storage, public access, etc.).

Emergency Equipment Locations

Fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire blankets.
Smoke detectors, alarms, and emergency lighting.
First aid kits and AED locations.

Occupancy Information

Typical number of staff, visitors, and occupants per area.
Any areas with high-risk or restricted access.

Assembly Areas & Exits

Location of primary and secondary assembly areas outside the building.
Known exit routes or special exit considerations.

Special Requirements

Areas requiring Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs).
Specific hazards, such as chemical storage, flammable materials, or electrical risks.
Accessibility requirements for mobility-impaired occupants.

Additional Notes

Any planned renovations or recent changes to the building layout.
