Are your courses compliant with workplace health and safety regulations?

- For accredited courses, you will receive the relevant RTO certification.
- For all other courses, you will receive a Certificate of Completion or a Certificate of Attendance.
Can training be delivered on-site or online?

How long are the training sessions?
Training duration depends on the program.
Short refresher courses can run for up to 90 minutes, while accredited units such as PUAFERCOMBO or HLTAID009 and HLTAID 011 typically range from half a day to a full day.

Can large teams or multiple departments attend together?

What does Fire Extinguisher Training involve?
Participants learn to identify fire types, select the right equipment, and safely extinguish small, controlled fires using the PASS method. We combine interactive Virtual Reality (VR) simulations with traditional live fire scenarios (where conditions permit) to ensure practical, hands-on experience.
Will participants use real fire extinguishers during training?
Yes, when possible. Participants gain confidence by extinguishing supervised live fires using extinguishers and fire blankets. In environments where restrictions apply (e.g., fire bans or site limitations), VR technology replicates realistic fire scenarios.
Who should attend Fire Safety training?
Fire training is suitable for all staff, particularly those required to respond to small incidents, meet workplace safety obligations, or refresh their practical fire-fighting skills.
What is Warden Training, and why is it important?
Warden Training prepares key staff to act as Emergency Wardens in the event of an emergency. Training covers evacuation procedures, communication protocols, assisting vulnerable occupants, and liaising with emergency services. It’s a requirement under AS 3745–2010 for workplaces to maintain an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO).
How often should Warden Training be refreshed?
The Australian Standard recommends Warden Training be refreshed every 6–12 months to ensure wardens remain confident, competent, and up to date with procedures.
Can Warden Training include site-specific scenarios?
Absolutely. We can incorporate your building layout, emergency equipment, and site procedures into training to ensure wardens are prepared for realistic workplace situations.
Is Fire Warden Training the same as Warden Training?
Not exactly, although the terms are often used interchangeably.
- Fire Warden Training focuses primarily on fire-related emergencies, including fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and the safe use of fire equipment.
- Warden Training, on the other hand, covers a broader range of emergencies such as medical incidents, bomb threats, chemical spills, and other critical situations in addition to fire response.
In short, all Fire Wardens are Wardens, but not all Wardens are limited to fire emergencies.
What First Aid courses does EDS deliver?
We deliver accredited First Aid and CPR training in partnership with Healthcorp, a Nationally Recognised Training Provider. Courses include HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID009 Provide CPR, and tailored workplace First Aid programs.
How often should First Aid training be renewed?
CPR should be refreshed every 12 months, while First Aid certification should be renewed every 3 years, in line with industry standards and compliance requirements.
What if our site has special requirements or restrictions?
EDS is highly flexible. We adjust training methods to suit your environment, including alternatives to live fire where restricted, accessibility needs, and operational schedules.
