DRSABCD with ARC Guidelines (CPR)

• Conduct a primary assessment using the DRSABCD approach
• Position the casualty appropriately to maintain a clear airway and reduce the risk of airway compromise
• Perform CPR on an adult and infant manikin placed on the floor
• Follow the single rescuer protocol, including operator rotation with minimal interruption to chest compressions
• Apply and follow the prompts of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to deliver at least one shock
• Respond appropriately to complications such as regurgitation or vomiting
• Provide a clear and concise verbal handover to emergency services
• Conduct a review of the incident as part of post-response procedures

First Aid Incidents for adults and children

• Identify the casualty’s illness or injury through history, signs, and symptoms
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Provide appropriate first aid treatment based on assessment
• Convey incident details accurately to emergency services or advise casualty on post-incident actions
• Hand over the casualty to emergency services with clear verbal and written reports
• Review and document the incident thoroughly
